Power and Performance

Approach a model with Intelligent Access, step inside, and tap push-button start. Your choice of one of six engine and six-and ten-speed SelectShift® auto transmission pairings revs powerfully to life, ready to take on nearly any job.

Base trims like F-150 XL, XLT, or Lariat feature a wide selection: a 290-horsepower, 3.3-liter Ti-VCT V6 FFV shelling 265 pound-feet of torque, a 325-horsepower, 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V6 that puts out 400 pound-feet, a 395-horsepower, 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 that can deliver 400 pound-feet, or a 375-horsepower, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 churning 470 pound-feet. Rise to the rugged Raptor, and you gain a standard 450-horsepower, high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 pushing 510 pound-feet. It's also newly available for Limited for 2019 in place of the trim's otherwise standard 375-horsepower V6 -- the ideal blend of power and premium amenities. Finally, a 3.0-liter Power Stroke® V6 Turbo Diesel engine's available, prepared to produce 250 horsepower backed by 440 pound-feet of torque.

The result: payload and tow ratings that are bests-in-class, up to 3,270 pounds and 13,200 pounds respectively. Likewise, F-150 offers exceptional fuel economy.  In diesel-equipped builds, count on up to an EPA-estimated 22 mpg in a city like Clearfield, 30 mpg down the highway to Ogden, UT, and 25 mpg combined between spots like Kaysville and Syracuse, UT. That's still a respectable and respective 17 mpg, 22 mpg, and 19 mpg in high-performance models.

A light-duty truck like F-150 isn't just powerful and economical with gas, either. It's also among the most capable out there. Electronic shift-on-the-fly (ESOF) is available for confident handling, as is a four-wheel drivetrain, with a two-speed auto 4WD with neutral towing capability in select models. In the Raptor trim, however, all-terrain command comes standard. It features, for one, a mechanical-locking 4WD variant and, new for 2019, you can even find a Trail Control System, a low-speed cruise control feature. Of course, this isn't to mention a long-travel front suspension, Terrain Management System&#trade; with selectable drive modes, likewise-new-for-2019 FOX Racing Shox with an internal bypass both up front and in the rear for the off-road, and BFGoodrich KO2 tires.

Safety and Driver-Assist Features

2019 F-150 is a prime example of the Ford commitment to your drive-time security. To that end, the pickup makes active safety features available in abundance. They range from a BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with trailer coverage and cross-traffic alert for situational awareness to a 360-degree camera with split-view display support and active park assist for ease in slipping into a spot at your destination. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go makes maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles in traffic a breeze, while a lane-keeping system and pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection simplify staying on course and clear of accidents.

Interior

If you're looking for accommodations, whether for a work crew or a boatload of cargo, tools, and equipment, look no further than a new Ford F-150. Its standard 40/20/40-split cloth front seating transforms into leather-appointed fare in select trims, front seats are available heated and ventilated, and rear seats come leather-trimmed and heated in select SuperCrew cab configurations. Rise to F-150 Platinum, and you gain 40/console/40-split, multi-contour front bucket seats with Active Motion® -- the lap of luxury. Raptor even makes Recaro seating available for 2019.

Bring dual-zone electronic auto temp control into the mix, along with, in F-150 Limited SuperCrew cab configurations, a twin-panel moonroof, and it's a breeze to get the cabin just the way you like it. Ditto for your quarry -- an available BoxLink&#trade; cargo management system offers four premium locking cleats to easily secure and stow it.

Technology Features

Finally, F-150 is nothing if not geared for use as a mobile office. Base models feature a 4.2-inch SYNC® infotainment system with 911 Assist® and AppLink support to keep you productive, while higher trims feature 8-inch SYNC 3 infotainment complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone integration. SYNC Connect® embedded 4G LTE Wi-Fi support enables connection to the Internet off the beaten path, while voice-activated navigation with support for SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link updates helps get you there. Factor in optional 10-speaker B&O PLAY premium audio and that road mix you've been saving transforms into the anthem of your drive.
